New Oil Paintings
Here are 4 paintings I've done in the past week from model photos I took. I find if I can get the faces right everything else falls into place. I'm still using a grid and pencil underdrawing. Experimenting with different surfaces.
Thanks Linda, I think I see colors easier as I have an astigmatism..or maybe just because I like to exaggerate colors. I also use PhotoShop to play with color and contrast etc. before I paint. Cheers!
Thanks Janice, the faces are so hard to get right! They either look good from the beginning of painting or they don't and no amount of repainting helps them much. I'm kind of obsessed with them right now...
The skin tones are beautiful with warm and cool colors. I love your work on the white sheet, too. Great paintings!
