Swimmer Oil Paintings
Here's another from the swimmer series. It's from a photo taken at Barton Springs pool in Austin. I did a number of these in a large square size (36x36"). I have always liked a centered composition even though I know it's "composition for dummies". This goes back to mandala paintings I did in college which looked like big quilts. Maybe some kind of unconscious urge to meditate?
Melissa i like very much this painting from your swimmers series. I liked the last but i prefer this. The colors are very gracefully. Your work with the backwash of water is tremendous, the light on the body of your boy is glorius. I hope your mandala go on well... See you sooner. Best regards.
